Comox Valley Designated Cultural Capital

The government of Canada has designated the Comox Valley a ‘2007 Cultural Capital of Canada.’ The Cultural Capitals of Canada awards recognize the achievements of communities that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the arts and culture. One of 19 cities awarded, Comox Valley was recognized for its preservation of Aboriginal cultural traditions, public art installations and performances, and original musical theatre production immortalizing local legends.

Vancouver Island Rated Top North American Island

For the seventh consecutive year Condé Nast Traveler magazine readers ranked Vancouver Island as Top North American Island.
